• The student will enter this course upon the evaluation of the instructor.

• The student will build endurance to play the Tanpura while singing for a period of 30 minutes.

• This year, the student will learn the notes of the Raags: Bageshri, Vrindavani Sarang, Bhimpalasi and Desh.

• The course will cover the Swarmalika and Bandish in each raag.

• The student will learn Aalap, Bol Aalap, and Taan in these Raags.

•  They will also be introduced to the advanced voice training in Vilambit (slow) Khayal.

• Students will be introduced to two new vocal styles: Dhrupad and Dhamar.

• The student will continue to learn about the instruments: Harmonium and Keyboard.

• The student will learn one new Bhajan and a Ghazal.

• Students will be provided notes on the Fifth Year theory of Hindustani Classical Music with explanation from the teacher.
