The student will enter this course upon the evaluation of the instructor.

The student will work on the notes of the basic Raags: Alhaiya Bilawal, Yaman and Bihag.

The course will cover how to read, write and sing the Swarmalika and Bandish in each raag.

The student will learn Aalap, Alankaar and Taan in these Raags.

 They will be introduced to the basic Taals:Teentaal and Keherva.

The course will cover the details of Taal and Laya and the importance of rhythm in music.

The student will learn two new Bhajans and one Geet.

The student will continue to learn about the instruments: Harmonium and Keyboard.

Students will be provided notes on the theory of Hindustani Classical Music with explanation from the teacher.
