Third year

• The student will enter this course upon the evaluation of the instructor.

• The Third Year course is designed for introducing students to new Raags.

• On completion of the Second Year, the student will learn the notes of the Raags: Aasawari, Kafi and Bhairavi.

• The course will cover the Swarmalika and Bandish in each raag.

• The student will learn Aalap, Alankaar and Taan in these Raags.

• The student will learn one new form of  vocal style: Tarana.

•  They will be introduced to the next twoTaals: Chaartaal and Jhaptaal.

• The student will learn two new Bhajans and one new Geet.

• Interested students will be introduced to Bangla Adhunik songs.

• The student will continue to learn about the instruments: Harmonium and Keyboard.

• The course will cover the details of the Time of Raag: Purva Raag, Uttar Raag, and Sandhi Prakash Raag.

• Student will be provided notes on the Third Year theory of Hindustani Classical Music with explanation from the teacher.
